How do you make a quilt binding?

Cut strips that are 2 1/4 inches wide and sew the strips together with a diagonal seam until you have enough to go around the quilt, plus about 20 inches. Unless you're binding a scalloped edge, there's no need to cut the binding on the bias. Press the whole length in half and there you go -- quilt binding. Good luck.
