Why can england and Canada afford medicare for all its citizens,and the U.S. can't take take of its medicare f?

The Republican party claims the U.S cannot afford to sustain medicare for seniors and the disabled,despite the fact the United States is by far the richest country on earth.Canada and Great Btitain provide medicare form cradle to grave for all of its citizens,yet the GOP would have us believe we cannot provide for our elderly and infirm,and our medicare system is unsustainable.This is all about private accounts again and a new underhanded attempt,as W. Bush tried in 2005,to give wall street our p[eoples futures.
