Why do people breed white tigers and pretend that they are a normal breed?

.I watched the lion man the other day,an was wondering why he kept breeding the white tigers.White tigers can only be made by inbreeding and crossbreeding so much that white tigers often die too early, are cross eyed and generally have a bad life.So why do loads of people think that they are 'Royal white bengal tigers' and think they are saving them by breeding more and more? And why do people pay money to see them?
